A COOPERATIVE, ORGANIZED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING THRIFT AND SAVINGS AMONG ITS MEMBERS, CREATING A SOURCE OF CREDIT FOR THEM AT RATES OF INTEREST SET BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND PROVIDING AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THEM TO USE AND CONTROL THEIR OWN MONEY ON A DEMOCRATIC BASIS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THEIR ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS. AS A COOPERATIVE, CALIFORNIA CREDIT UNION CONDUCTS ITS BUSINESS FOR THE MUTUAL BENEFIT AND GENERAL WELFARE OF ITS MEMBERS WITH THE EARNINGS, SAVINGS, BENEFITS, OR SERVICES OF THE CREDIT UNION BEING DISTRIBUTED TO ITS MEMBERS AS PATRONS.

WE CONCLUDED ANOTHER VERY SUCCESSFUL YEAR SERVING OUR MEMBERS IN 2019.
EXPANDING THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES WE PROVIDE TO MEMBERS WAS A PRIORITY DURING 2019. TO SUPPORT OUR MEMBER'S EDUCATION GOALS, WE LAUNCHED A NEW STUDENT LENDING SERVICE WITH LENDKEY. BY PARTNERING WITH LENDKEY WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER A VARIETY OF COMPETITIVE-RATE PROGRAMS THAT ENABLE MEMBERS TO PAY FOR SCHOOL OR REFINANCE THEIR STUDENT LOANS. TO HELP MEMBERS GROW THEIR SAVINGS, WE OFFERED NEW HIGH-RATE 13, 15 AND 5-MONTH CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS. FROM A SERVICE PERSPECTIVE, WE MODERNIZED A NUMBER OF BRANCHES IN LOS ANGELES AND SAN DIEGO TO ENHANCE THE IN-PERSON RETAIL EXPERIENCE. TECHNOLOGY IMPROVEMENTS ON BEHALF OF OUR MEMBERS CONTINUED TO STAY AT THE FOREFRONT OF OUR EFFORTS. WE IMPLEMENTED NEW SECURITY PROTOCOLS ACROSS OUR DIGITAL CHANNELS AS WELL AS INTRODUCED REAL-TIME ACCOUNT ALERTS AND EXTERNAL LOAN PAYMENTS TO OUR ONLINE PLATFORMS. FOR OUR MOBILE SERVICES, WE ADDED THE CAPABILITY OF LOAN APPLICATIONS AND PAYMENTS AS WELL AS LAUNCHED A NEW COMPREHENSIVE STUDENT LOAN PORTAL.
CALIFORNIA CREDIT UNION REMAINS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITIES THROUGH SPONSORSHIPS, DONATIONS AND VOLUNTEER INVOLVEMENT. WE WERE HONORED TO CONTINUE TO EXPAND OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS IN 2019, ASSISTING HUNDREDS OF LOCAL COMMUNITY, EDUCATION, AND MILITARY SERVICE EVENTS INCLUDING THE SUPPORT THE ENLISTED PROGRAM, MORALE, WELFARE AND RECREATION, AND THE FLEET WEEK FOUNDATION, TO NAME A FEW. IN ADDITION, WE CONTINUED TO FOSTER OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE EDUCATION COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO EDUCATORS AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO COLLEGE-BOUND STUDENTS IN THE LOS ANGELES AND SAN DIEGO REGIONS.
