The Center provides a place of community to end isolation, build relationships, and introduce housing, health and wellness services to adult individuals experiencing homelessness in Hollywood.

The Center is a multi-faceted non-profit homeless service provider focused on creating connections to community, health care, mental health care, and housing for individuals experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. The core of the Centers programming is its Community Wellness Program, which serves more than 250 people each week in Hollywood. The Center offers trauma-informed interactive groups, and activities on weekday mornings. These activities create connection and a sense of belonging which are critical elements in the journey from street to home. The Center utilizes evidence-based practices which focus on wellness and treats the whole person. On a daily basis, The Center serves 75-115 people and sees more than 1,500 unique individuals annually. The Center believes that ending homelessness takes a community and that no one agency can end homelessness. As such, more than 15 community partners work out of The Centers space each week to provide supplemental services and resources to our participants. The Center is contracted to serve as the Coordinated Entry System (CES) hub for Hollywood and Midtown Los Angeles, connecting individuals experiencing homelessness to housing opportunities. Through CES, we ensure that more than 2,000 people from across our community are eligible for housing, health, and mental health opportunities. Annually, more than 700 volunteers serve at our site. The Center provides street-based outreach and housing services in our community. In 2019, The Centers staff helped more than 80 people move into permanent housing through outreach and housing programs. The Center has also expanded its Housing Retention services and provide unique opportunities for more than 60 newly housed participants to engage with one another through specialized programming, outings and engagement opportunities within their apartment complexes and supportive housing facilities. The Center also has three full-time employees working in support of residents at the Hollywood A Bridge Home transitional housing facility. On this site, in partnership with lead-service provider: PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) the Schrader Wellness team work to build relationships and do light-touch case management for the more than 70 residents.New additions in 2019 include expanded opportunities of many of these programs. The housing retention program began its Member and Ambassador programs where individuals, now stably housed either through the Center or through a partner, are able to volunteer for The Center in various capacities. In some cases, this expanded opportunity for individuals has allowed for job-skills experience, and for additional responsibilities on the Blessed Sacrament campus and throughout Hollywood. The Center also, in partnership with Saban Community Clinic opened a satellite clinic on site at The Center. The clinic is now able to provide Medi-Cal enrollments, health screenings and 21-primary care appointments for individuals accessing the Center. In some cases, people who may visit the Center do not access healthcare, and this gives them a low-barrier opportunity especially in cases where they do not have a healthcare home.
