Organizations Filed Purposes: The organization aims to provide funds for, and help execute, completion of schools and other community projects enhancing the well-being of rural villages in the developing world.

Karimu began the year by awarding 75% scholarships to 31 teachers from Arri and Ayalagaya Wards, in the Babati Region of Tanzania's Manyara District, to earn their college degrees by distance learning. In February, Karimu funded the landscaping of Bacho Primary School with a donation of 150 trees. In March, Karimu installed solar panels at Gajal Primary School in order to illuminate classrooms and the outside surroundings. In April, Karimu funded the painting of the Bacho Primary School and Ayalagaya Secondary School classroom and bathroom walls with instructions to improve hygiene. In May, Karimu also donated laptops and printers to Haysam Primary School, and gave first-aid training to 30 teachers from all 15 schools in Ayalagaya and Arri Wards in how to deal with common school accidents.During the summer (winter in the Southern Hemisphere), 30 Karimu volunteers visited Ayalagaya and Arri Wards. These volunteers included three physicians, who attended to more than 150 patients and trained the medical staffs of three clinics, besides training more than 50 midwives (specifically in managing childbirth and on breastfeeding and nutrition). Karimu also donated 500 pairs of shoes and 500 articles of clothing for the children of the poorest families in the Wards; donated pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, fetoscopes, ear gloves, and other supplies to the Dareda Kati Clinic and the two other clinics; and donated educational materials for all schools in the Wards. Karimu also conducted leadership training for 20 middle school girls, focusing on self-awareness, life goals, and paths to achieve their goals.Other Karimu projects during these months included teaching mathematics and art classes for roughly 650 students from 12 primary schools and three secondary schools, and donating electricity for the Dareda Kati Clinic to enable refrigeration of vaccines and the use of services requiring energy-enabled equipment. Karimu also installed electricity at Haysam Primary School, and added to the large-scale water project begun in 2018 by constructing more intake facilities on the slopes of the Rift Valley escarpment and a water tank at Hhewas village, plus a protective retaining wall and surrounding gutters and landscaping. Additionally, Karimu donated electricity, medicine, and medical equipment to Tsaayo Dispensary, serving the 13,000 villagers of Arri Ward.During the final quarter of the year, Karimu completed seven new classrooms and three teachers/administrators offices at Ayalagaya Secondary School, all with electricity. Karimu also extended the girls bathroom at Haysam Primary School by adding a private outside area for washing and drying clothes, flexible water hoses for personal hygiene, and an incinerator for menstrual pads. Karimu's extension of the girls bathroom at Bacho Primary School was identical to the bathroom extension at Haysam Primary. Karimu also built student and staff bathrooms and a large sink for handwashing at Gajal Primary School. These bathrooms at Haysam, Bacho, and Gajal Primary Schools include stalls with flush toilets as well as urinals and sinks set at different heights.
