Organizations Filed Purposes: Hi-Hopes transforms the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities through the arts.

Hope University, also known as Hope Center for the Arts, and Hi-Hopes Identity Discovery Foundation the Organization, is the first arts program in the world set up specifically and only for gifted adults with developmental disabilities. The Organization has received numerous awards.

In January 2019, the organization hosted an Appreciation Day for Regional Center of Orange County coordinators and was selected by a Chapman University Social Media Project Team for their class project. In March 2019, Michele Vavonese recognized by Arts OC as one of the emerging arts leaders in Orange County; the Kiwanis of Greater Anaheim (which was the organization that supported the creation of HOPE in 1979) hosted their meeting at HOPE including a tour. In April 2019, Michele Vavonese was featured in an Oswego Alumni Magazine article titled ?Artistic Expression?. In May 2019, HOPE Board on The Raad Life Radio show to get the word out about HOPE?s story; Raad Ghantous also came out to HOPE to meet students/staff and delivered his video via Facebook Live. In June 2019, The HiHopes Band performed for Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders families. In July/August 2019, Michele Vavonese selected for a grant fellowship through CSUF?s Gianneschi Center for Nonprofit Research with the Orange County Community Foundation; she completed the CEO Training and attended the G3X conference.
