CULTIVATING THE CONDITIONS THAT GENERATE ARTISTS AND ART PROFESSIONALS WHO TRANSLATE CONTEMPORARY ISSUES AND IDEAS TO CHALLENGE THE COMPLACENCY OF THE STATUS QUO IN SEARCH OF MORE TRANSCENDENT PRINCIPLES WILL BE THE WATERTABLE TRUST'S HIGHEST AND BEST WORK FOR LOS ANGELES AND OUR CULTURAL MOMENT.
