To empower the worlds underrepresented young people, especially girls, through engineering and technology, to become innovators and leaders.
Since 2006, more than 120,000 children, parents, mentors, and educators have participated in its two global programs Technovation Challenge, the worlds largest global technology enterpreneurship program for middle and high school girls ages 10-18, and CM AI Family Challenge, the first AI program for families where they identify a problem in their community and build an AI prototype. Iridescent has proudly trained more than 13,000 engineers and scientists to develop design challenges and/or mentor students and families. In recognition of its pioneering work for the collective impact in underserved communities, Iridescent received the prestigious 2015 Excellence in Mentoring award, a US2020 White House Initiative.
