To serve the community by offering youth athletic leagues, camps and clinics.
During 2020, MVP Flight coached, trained and offered youth basketball teams, tournaments, basketball leagues and camps for boys and girls 6-18 years old. Approximately 1,200 players participated in these activities, down in 2020 from 2019 due to Covid restrictions. MVP Flight also ran a more advanced club basketball program for grades 2-8. Approximately 275 players participated on these teams and 20 volunteer coaches and support staff helped with the various programs, down in 2020 from 2019 due to Covid restrictions. MVP Flight provided full and partial scholarships to individual basketball players and member teams during 2020. Approximately 70 players received full or partial scholarships, down from 2019 due to Covid restrictions. The teams and players participated in these programs were primarily from Alameda County, Contra Costa County, San Francisco County and Solano County.
