Our mission is to promote a culture within our school community that embraces diversity by expanding our childrens perception towards unity for others and integrity for themselves. We strive to provide meaningful family engagement and ensure all families and children feel welcome and represented within our school community.
The Mission of the Burton Valley Elementary PTA is To help support the activities of the Burton Valley Elementary School in Lafayette, California.
HOT LUNCH AND RELATED PROGRAMS------------------------------THE PTA PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE SCHOOL'S HOT LUNCH PROGRAM. Hot Lunch is a PTA-sponsored, parent-organized, and volunteer-dependent lunch program available to grades 1 through 5 at Burton Valley. The Burton Valley PTA, in partnership with Sodexho, offers a lunch, salad bar, and beverage program five days a week. Students use an Electronic Meal Card to acquire food available in Burton Valleys lunchroom. Children are always welcomed to bring lunch from home and purchase milk, water or juice.
ENRICHMENT---------------------ENRICHMENT FUNDS SUPPLEMENTED NEARLY ALL GRADE LEVELS WITH SPECIAL PROGRAMS, MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES OUTSIDE THE REGULAR SCOPE OF GRADE REQUIREMENTS. PTA ALSO SUPPORTED TEACHERS BY ENABLING THEM TO PURCHASE CLASS SUPPLIES AND BOOKS TO SUPPLEMENT SCHOOL RESOURCES.
MUSIC, SCIENCE, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, ASEP,AND PARENT/STUDENT ACTIVITIES-----------------------------------------THE PTA SUPPLEMENTS THE MUSIC, SCIENCE, AND PHYSICAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AT THE SCHOOL WHICH ENABLES THESE VITAL DEPARTMENTS TO EXPAND SERVICES. THE PTA FUNDS MANY ADDITIONAL PROGAMS AT THE SCHOOL INCLUDING FIELD TRIP SCHOLARSHIPS, AND PARENT/STUDENT COMMUNITY EVENTS. VOLUNTEERS SUPPORT PROGRAMS AS NEEDED.
