The Haven provides emergency shelter for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other crisis situations as well as a variety of supplemental services ranging from community education and prevention, counseling services to homeless and family support services.
Tri-Valley Haven for Women ("the Haven") primarily provides emergency shelter for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other crisis situations, such as homelessness.
Domestic Violence Services - These services include Domestic Violence Case Management and Advocacy, Legal Advocacy, Domestic Violence Crisis Hotline. Tri-Valley Haven provided emergency shelter services for 218 residents including women and children; 7,916 bednights; 1,183 units of counseling, group counseling, & support services; 1,003 domestic violence crisis calls; 451 units of legal advocacy/assistance; 39 individuals served at the restraining order clinic; 4 restraining orders obtained; 24 volunteers provided 1,260 hours of crisis response, counseling, and support services to Domestic Violence clients through crisis hotline, legal advocacy, and childcare services.
Homeless and Family Support Services - These services include Homeless Case Management and Advocacy, Food Pantry Services and Parenting Services. Tri-Valley Haven provided shelter to 63 residents including adults and children; 4,276 bednights; 627 units of case management and group services; 2,016 unduplicated households for a total of 5,335 household members made 10,221 household visits to the Food Pantry (visits to the Food Pantry counted by household members totals 26,465); 1,001 holiday food baskets were distributed, serving 5,116 family members; 2 Emergency Shelter Temporary Assistance motel vouchers were issued; outreach was provided to 502 duplicated individuals of 222 duplicated households; 2 counseling clients were provided 5 counseling sessions; 163 volunteers provided 2,596 hours of food pantry assistance, counseling, and childcare services to clients of our Homeless and Family Support Services.
Rape Crisis Services - These services include Rape Crisis Hotline, Rape Crisis response, and Rape Crisis Counseling, Support Groups & Advocacy services. Tri-Valley Haven received 273 rape crisis calls; serving 301 individuals through the Rape Crisis Center; 49 counseling clients were provided 554 counseling sessions; 36 volunteers provided 4,528 hours of crisis response, counseling, and support services to clients through crisis hotline and rape crisis on-call response.
