INTERNET CONNECTIVITY TO ACCREDITED SCHOOLSUtilizing its capacity on its licensed Educational Broadband Service channels, ACE provides, at no charge, Internet connectivity and the associated hardware and software, for the delivery of accredited educational programming, in-service training, support of administrative activities and library or computer lab usage. The Internet connectivity is currently supporting the educational mission of 4 public and private schools in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Approximately 1,500 students, faculty members, and administrative staff utilize these services.

Oakland International High School, Oakland, CAThe ACE Learning Center offers regularly scheduled classes in English and technology skills for immigrant students, their families and the local community. It also supports students as they move to college and/or careers. These include Peralta Community College classes offered at the OIHS campus; community-based internship programs, including KDOL-TV; and Refugee Transitions classes that help parents with English, technology, gardening and cooking.

San Francisco International High SchoolThe ACE Learning Center supports immigrant students on their path to graduate from high school, get college-ready and mentor them through college. The Acceleration program provides access to rigorous college-prep curriculum by giving students the reading supports they need. The Span program helps recent graduates through their first year of college with peer-to-peer, group and individual advice, including Span Fellows and Span Scholars who mentor younger students. To support English language learners who cannot attend high school during regular school hours because they must work or take care of family members, the ACE Learning Center has expanded to include the Flexible-Schedule Continuing Education High School. It is the only program in the San Francisco Unified School District that offers independent study, online learning, case management and small group advising to students who need an opportunity to earn a diploma.
