Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of the Alcott Center for Mental Health Services is to enhance the quality of life, promote independence and empower individuals with mental health issues to live productive and meaningful lives.
Mental Health Services: During 2018-2019, the agency served 482 clients and 12,786 client visits took place. The mental health program treats ages 18+ providing individuals with individual/group therapies, skills training and psychiatry, all of which is designed to maximize their potential. Staff collaborate with clients to develop personal life goals and a plan of how to reach them. Alcott delivers these services through its contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
Housing Services:During 2018-2019, the agency served over 120 homeless services under its contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles. Services include outreach, engagement, processing of subsidized housing vouchers and housing location/placement. Most clients are linked to our mental health program for ongoing care. In late 2019, the agency added a 43 bed bridge housing facility, also funded by the Department of Health Services providing interim housing to individuals being released or diverted from incarceration.
Pico-Robertson Health Neighborhood Project: Serving as the lead organization, this coalition of providers serving the Pico-Robertson area is responsible for improving access to services, identifying health needs impacting our neighbors and devising action plans to address those needs. Over 400 individuals were served in 2018-2019.Art Studio Program: Art for the sake of creating Art is led by professional artists, clients and community members, who come together on a weekly basis to create artwork. Over 200 individuals were served in 2018-2019.
