Organizations Filed Purposes: Telling the L.A. story through self-guided historical walking trails.Angels Walk LA is devoted to enhancing the pedestrian environments of Los Angeles by developing self-guided walking trails that commemorate the history, architecture and culture of Los Angeles neighborhoods. Angels Walk encourages pedestrians to discover and explore Los Angeles by connecting directly with major transit and rail lines.Internal: Angels Walk LA launched a new mobile-friendly website(www.angelswalkla.org) which includes Google maps of each route and downloadable guidebooks and trail maps. The Angels Walk LA Instagram has been maintained to facilitate connection with the community and to keep followers abreast of new activities within the organization as well as to educate about the historyof Los Angeles. Ongoing efforts have been pursued to develop a plan for updates, andrepair/refurbishment of older walks.

East Hollywood / Silver Lake Walk: The East Hollywood/Silver Lake walk was completed in September of 2019. This walk consists of two sections that guide walkers through historical areas and highlights of adjacent Los Angeles neighborhoods. 50,000 guidebooks were printed and distribution began to local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders. 15 on-street interpretive stanchions featuring informative text and archival photography were fabricated and installed for the East Hollywood portion of the walk along Vermont Avenue, Santa Monica Boulevard, Fountain Avenue, and Sunset Boulevard.

Boyle Heights Walk: The Boyle Heights walk was completed in September of 2019 and guides walkers through the historic commercial core of Boyle Heights along E. 1st Street, Soto Street, and Cesar E. Chavez Avenue. The walk highlights people, places, movements, and events that shaped this historic neighborhood and consequently, shaped the city of Los Angeles itself. 50,000 guidebooks were printed and distribution began to local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders. 15 on-street interpretive stanchions featuring informative text and archival photography were fabricated, and scheduled for installation in early 2020.

Central Avenue Walk: The design phase of the Central Avenue walk was advanced in the early part of 2019; however for most of the year the project has been in a holding pattern awaiting approval to proceed from city entities.
