Organizations Filed Purposes: Arts for LA activates artists and organizations, and leads communities to advocate for an equitable, healthy, and creative Los Angeles region.

COMMUNICATIONS - Provided online information about arts and culture policy issues to over 65,000 subscribers to our website and social media accounts. We led a year long outreach and education campaign intended to engage the community in the development of the new vote center model and Los Angeles. This campaign reached our full list of subscribers.Arts for LA led a series of conversations to better understand how to preserve arts & cultural resources in Los Angeles. These conversations resulted in a field research report that was presented across the region and state and the conversations helped form the research agenda for 2020, and efforts to advance reforms in policy and practice with a particular focus on affordable space for artists in the region.

ADVOCACY - COMMUNITY ADVOCACY TEAMS: ARTS FOR LA TRAINED 80 COMMUNITY MEMBERS REPRESENTING OVER 22 SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND 13 CITIES IN ADVOCACY BEST PRACTICES TO SUPPORT ARTS EDUCATION AND CIVIC ART.Community Convening: Arts for LA convened over 600 arts and culture practitioners, administrators, and advocates among 6 programmatic events throughout the year. These convenings allowed Arts for LA to listen to our arts and culture community, engage those voices in discussing potential solutions to our common challenges, and serve as a community guidepost advocating for the needs of our industry.Community Advocacy: Engaged over 150 community members around county and city initiatives to support the arts throughout Los Angeles County.
