Organizations Filed Purposes:
A3PCON is a coalition of community-based organizations that advocates for the rights and needs of the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community in the greater Los Angeles Area, with particular focus on low-income, immigrant, refugee and other vulnerable populations.
To accomplish its mission, A3PCON: 1. Promoted the needs, interests and concerns of the API community to policy makers and the general public. 2. Strengthened collaboration, planning and collective action among its members to common advocacy/policy, organizational development and capacity-building. 3. Activated the API electorate and promoted public accountability to the API community through non-partisan political and electoral participation. Specifically, its projects have ensured that community members obtain access to culturally and linguistically appropriate services, become more civically engaged and become leaders in their respective communities.
