Community Education & Outreach: CHIRLAs workshops provide accurate, up-to-date information about rights of immigrants, access to social services and healthcare, financial literacy, wage theft, other civil rights violations, and constitutional rights to protect against deportation and family separation. The free Spanish/English Immigrant Access Hotline (1-888-6CHIRLA) receives nearly 5,000 calls/year for referrals/information on immigration, workers rights, wage theft, citizenship, healthcare, pro-bono legal support, English language instruction, and other information.
