Organizations Filed Purposes: Coalition for Responsible Community Development, ("CRCD"), and Subsidiaries ("the Organization") is a California nonprofit corporation whose mission is to better sustain, coordinate, and improve local planning, development, and community services that address the needs of low-income residents and small businesses in South Los Angeles. The Organization provides a variety of programs focused on helping to improve the quality of life for low and moderate-income residents living and working in deteriorating neighborhoods throughout South Los Angeles by engaging in community revitalization and leadership activities that create economic opportunities, promoting safety and security in the neighborhoods, living wage jobs, affordable housing, and all the other important supportive services a community needs to thrive.

To better sustain, coordinate, and improve local planning, development, and community services that address the needs of low-income residents and small business in South Los Angeles.

Youth Development:This program provides access to high school education at CRCD Academy with co-enrollment and career-path training with our partner, LA Trade Technical College, to help young people ages 14-24 reduce barriers to employment and build careers. The CRCD Youth Development Department offers an array of programs that ensure youth and young adults are prepared to enter the community as educated, skilled, and ready tosucceed.In 2019, the program served 948 young people of which 91 received high school diplomas, 351 were placed in jobs and 75 were placed in post-secondary education.

Community Beautification:Through its wholly owned subsidiary, CRCD Enterprises, CRCD removed more than 166,997 square feet of graffiti, reducing tension and violence in the community; collected 28,323 bags totaling 836 tons oftrash and bulky items; and cleaned and repaired 305 blocks of sidewalks at more than 20 sites throughout South LA, improving community health and well-being. The social enterprise employs individuals through the LA:RISE program with the City of Los Angeles, which is designed to help men and women with high barriers to employment get jobs and stay employed.

Workforce and Economic Development:The Workforce and Economic Development department at CRCD offers a variety of programs and operates the Vernon-Central/LATTC WorkSource Center to connect LA residents, veterans and re-entry population to free wrap-around job placement, training, financial coaching services, and support services to remove barriers to employment.In 2019, the program served 816 individuals; 226 re-entered from incarceration, 41 veterans, 118 identified as having a disability, 76 were dislocated workers, and 560 were low income individuals.
