Organizations Filed Purposes: Elephant Action League (EAL) is an innovative hybrid nonprofit organization that merges the worlds of intelligence, investigations, and conservation in service of wildlife and the people who protect it. EAL protects wildlife through effective intelligence collection and investigative efforts.

Wildlife Crime: This remains by far our most important program, and an integral part of our mission. We collect information and investigate wildlife crime in three continents (Africa, Asia and Latin America), we produce public reports and we routinely prepare confidential reports for law enforcement only, in order to help their work. We currently share confidential information with a dozen law enforcement agencies around the world. Our most important investigative projects are jaguar and wildlife trafficking in Latin America, rhino horn trafficking in Southern Africa, and wildlife crime in South East Asia and China.

Communication and Advocacy: This is an important part of our job. Our work in the field is sometimes used to launch awareness campaigns on certain topics. We usually do that by partnering with important media and film production companies, for the production of blockbuster documentaries that reach millions of people. So far our work has been prominently featured in the Netflix 'The Ivory Game' and in the National Geographic's 'Sea of Shadows' (winner of the Sundance Film Festival).

WildLeaks is a standing project, now 5 years old. It is the world's first whistleblowing inititive dedicated to environmental crime. Through Wildleaks we receive dozens of anonymous submissions every year, which we investigate further or share with law enforcemente agencies.
