The purpose of the corporation is to engage in public education within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The corporation's activities may include public education, research, and litigation on issues affecting the environment and the public interest. The corporation is not organized for gain or individual profit and it shall be operated exclusively for educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Environment California Research and Policy Center is dedicated to protecting our air, water and open spaces. We investigate problems, craft solutions, educate the public and decision-makers and help the public make their voices heard in local, state and national debates over the quality of our environment.
Researching and influencing public policy: staff engage in non-legislative activities including research, education, and legal and policy development on the following issues: promoting 100% renewable energy strategies, cleaning up our waterways and banning toxic pesticides used in food production.
Public education and outreach activities: recruiting volunteers, distributing educational literature, conducting surveys and discussing issues with the public reaching thousands citizens each year on the following issues: promoting 100% renewable energy strategies, cleaning up our waterways and banning toxic pesticides used in food production.
