Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission is to bring people together, to challenge assumptions, unleash the Holy and affirm the faith that transforms the world.

A signature of The Guibord Center is that all programs are free of charge and open to the public. In addition this availability extends to all recordings and photography throughout the website. The mission to bring people together to challenge assumptions ... is amplified in the original Initiatives: " Animals & Compassion"; "Children Youth & Young Adults"; "Faith, Women & Violence".; and "Transformative Engagement".The 2020 Programs were conducted as online events and included: "Faiths in the Trenches", "Kindred Spirits - One Animal Family", "The Sermon on Mount: Jesus' Teaching for Troubled Times" (a 3 part series), "Post Election 2020: Where Do We Do From Here?" and "Spiritual Roots of the Nonviolence Movement in the US". Two new interfaith series were begun.: "Inspiring Stories for Uncertain Times" (in collaboration with IslamiCity);and " On the Leading Edge: Interfaith Multiracial Families". The Children, Youth and Young Adult program worked with multiple local primary and secondary schools in furthering the understanding of diverse faith traditions through mentoring and providing personal interaction with members of different faiths. The murder of George Floyd led The Guibord Center to make a year-long commitment to explore the role of people of faith in general, and The Guibord Center specifically, in dismantling systemic racism. All members of The Guibord Center community were invited to participate in an intense, ongoing weekly discernment group on anti-racism. A new initiative on Nonviolence was also begun. The organization began exploring the spiritual principles and practices at the heart of nonviolence that our diverse faith traditions encourage us to follow in order to create a more just and egalitarian society. An unexpected gift of shifting to online programming because of the COVID-19 Pandemic brought a significant expansion of participation from across the country and around the globe including new participants from Great Britain, Europe, Africa and Australia.
