Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide life changing opportunities through education to rescued children and youth living within impoverished villages around the world.
Education Program:Educational services were provided in Kenya for 996 primary and secondary school participants in outreach programs that provided self-esteem workshops, gender rights training, sanitary pads and hygiene kits. 225 children from five counties received tuition fees, housing, meals, uniforms, school supplies, desks, beds, books, enrichment activities, field trips, and science equipment. 8 college/university and trade-school students received stipends for tuition and housing.
Transportation:Transportation included the purchase of a seven-seater, off-road vehicle to assist with logistical needs and extended travel within the country. Travel fees were also provided to students traveling to and from school throughout Kenya via chartered buses and private vehicles. Emergency vehicles were rented during rescue efforts to ensure the safety of trauma victims/survivors. Repairs and maintenance was needed for the I Can Fly High School bus in addition to pick- up trucks for food transportation.
Development/Infrastructure:We provided painting for I Can Fly High School classrooms and exterior buildings. The soccer field project construction consisted of building bleachers and stairs. A 200 ft. perimeter wall was also constructed on the north side of campus covering the back side of campus. A new septic tank was constructed to accommodate the new plumbing system in the girls bathroom.
