Organizations Filed Purposes: WE CONNECT FAMILIES TO SUPPORT AND SERVICES THEY NEED IN ORDER TO RECOVER FROM THE ABDUCTION OR OTHER TRAUMATIC EVENTS AND IN MANY CASES PROVIDE THE FUNDING FOR THESE SERVICES. OUR FUNDING COMES THROUGH PRIVATE DONATIONS AND SALES FROM OUR WEBSITE STORE. WE ALSO SERVE FAMILIES WHO HAVE LOST A MEMBER IN SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY, WHO ARE RECONNECTING AFTER A SEPARATION CAUSED BY MILITARY DEPLOYMENT, OR WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED A LOSS AFTER MILITARY POST TRAUMATIC SUICIDE. THE JAYC FOUNDATION PROVIDES SERVICES BY UTILIZING TREATMENT PROGRAMS THAT FOCUS ON HEALING THROUGH TRADITIONAL THERAPY ALONG WITH ANIMAL THERAPY, EQUINE THERAPY, AND OTHER EXPERIENTIAL THERAPIES. THIS COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH BRINGS FAMILIES TOGETHER WITH TREATMENT PROGRAMS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR THEM AND THEIR UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCES. WE ALSO OFFER TRAINING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS SO OTHERS CAN LEARN FROM OUR EXPERIENCE. WE HAVE BEEN ASKED & ARE HAPPY TO PRESENT OUR IDEAS TO GROUPS OF INTERESTED AGENCIES & PROFESSIONALS.

THE FOUNDATION'S MESSAGE IS "JUST ASK YOURSELF TO CARE". THE MISSION IS TO BE OF SERVICE TO FAMILIES THAT HAVE SUFFERED A FAMILIAL OR NON-FAMILIAL ADBUCTION OR OTHER TRAUMA; TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF COMPASSION AND AWARENESS THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS; TO ENCOURAGE THE COLLABORATION OF VARIOUS ENTITIES TO PROVIDE "PROTECTED SPACES" FOR FAMILIES TO HEAL. WE BELIEVE THAT FAMILIES HEAL BEST FROM WITHIN, BUT THEY NEED ASSISTANCE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS.

THE JAYC FOUNDATION HAS PROVIDED FUNDING FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE SUFFERED A FAMILIAL OR NON-FAMILIAL ABDUCTION AND OTHER TRAUMATIC EVENTS, TO BE ABLE TO RECEIVE INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY THERAPY, EQUINE THERAPY, AND SUPPORT SERVICES. WE HAVE ALSO PROVIDED FOR SEVERAL WORKSHOPS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER TRAININGS.

THE FOUNDATION RECEIVED A GRANT FROM THE AMERICAN LEGION CHILD WELFARE FOUNDATION IN ORDER TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CHILDREN WITH MENTAL DISABILITIES. IN OTHER WORDS, THIS PROGRAM WOULD EDUCATE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ON WHAT SIGNS TO OBSERVE IN SUCH CHILDREN AND INFORMATION ON HOW TO INTERACT WITH THOSE CHILDREN.

IN ORDER TO RAISE FUNDS, THE J.A.Y.C. FOUNDATION HAS SOLD PINE CONE JEWELRY AND OTHER MERCHANDISE ONLINE TO FACILITATE A NEW BEGINNING FOR MANY FAMILIES THAT HAVE BEEN DEVASTATED BY TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ABDUCTIONS, NATURAL DISASTERS, AND MILITARY DEPLOYMENT. DONORS HAVE EITHER PURCHASED THE PINE CONE JEWELRY OR HAVE MADE DONATIONS ONLINE. THE FUNDS OBTAINED FROM THE SALE OF THE PINE CONE JEWELRY AND DONATIONS RECEIVED BY THE ORGANIZATION WILL BE USED TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUALIZED ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES WHO HAVE SUFFERED TRAUMATIC EVENTS WHEN HEALING FROM A TRAUMATIC EVENT.
