Jubilee Year LA (jubileeyearla.org) Jubilee Year (JYLA) provides a personally and professionally transformative service year to young adults ages 21 to 29, preparing future change makers for lives of civic engagement and spiritual discernment. Serving the Greater Los Angeles area since 1991, JYLA has touched over 10,000 lives through partnerships with over 50 community-minded organizations as well as through interfaith spiritual outreach, activism, and practice. Through our continued dedication to community and service, we raise up a new generation of change makers for the world individuals who will spend their whole lives in pursuit of peace and justice for all people. Though JYLA is partnered with and rooted in the Episcopal tradition, we accept, embrace, and encourage people of all faith, religious, and non-religious understandings to participate. We don't discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. Rather, we seek to build a corps that is representative of our diverse world. We embrace those who identify as LGBTQIA and welcome people no matter who they love or how they identify.
Jubilee Media -Jubilee Media Collaborative is an innovative social enterprise driven to meet a clear need in the non-profit and faith-based settings: Developing and maintaining a quality online presence. The online presence of not for profit entities is just as vital as that of for-profit companies - if not more important! Yet, with constrained budgets as well as a lack of adequate time and (often) expertise, it can be underutilized and swiftly relegated as the lowest of priorities. Jubilee Media Collaborative address this unfortunate reality by offering high quality and still affordable website design, web and social media management, and a la carte design services.
Jubilee Jump (jubileejump.org) Jubilee Jump is an exciting jump rope fitness program for youth ages 8-16. Competitive jump rope involves amazing tricks, skills, choreography and community. We have teams in Los Angeles neighborhoods where the need for health justice is great, but the resources are minimal. Jubilee Jump is a program offered by Jubilee Consortium, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that believes everyone should have the opportunity to be healthy and happyespecially our youth. Come join us! In 2015, Jubilee Consortium launched rope jumping programs at three different low-income neighborhoods around Los Angeles: Hollywood, Inglewood and Highland Park. Today, we are expanding to cover 8 locationsall of which will form part of a strong and talented jump rope league. Youth participants in Jubilee Jump learn basic rope jumping skills, increase their understanding of the sport of competitive rope jumping, engage in regular fitness activities, receive mentoring from coaches and adult volunteers, and develop life and leadership skills that they will be able to translate into other aspects of their lives.
