Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Trust provides financial support for the people and programs of its two largest supported 501 (c) (3) organizations that serve Americas urban poor, World Impact, Inc. and HMC, dba Urban Youth Workers Institute. $250,000 was distributed to World Impact to support its Christian programs, missionaries, and teachers. $25,000 was distributed to HMC (UYWI) to support its Christian leadership development programs.
The Trust provides financial support for 501 (c) (3) organizations that provide homes for the poor in Mexico and Latin America. The Trust funded homes, in partnership with World Impact, in the amount of $7,000. The Trust also funded YWAM $10,000, Loyola High School $10,000, Power Ministry $5000, Spectrum Ministries $2000, Rocky Peak Church $5,000, Parkcrest Church $3,000, all in support of home building projects for the poor in Mexico and Latin America.
The Trust provides financial support for organizations that provide Leadership Development, compassion ministry and Christian Evangelism. $10,000 funded Grace Brethren Church Long Beach. Wycliffe Bible Translators received $3,000 for its bible translation work. $2000 supported the Govern for Impact Association. $10,000 was gifted to the National Christian Foundation to support various ministries in this category. The Trust also provided grants to organizations that provide Christian and Values Based Education. Westmont College received $5,000 and Biola University $5,000 to fund under-represented students, as administered through their own scholarship programs. The Opportunity Schools received $10,000 for its work in teaching children with learning differences. CSULB 49er Foundation received $5000 in support of its Ethics programming. The Trusts Managing Trustees are also officers and/or directors of charitable organizations that are supported by the Trust. Alvin Sanders is President of World Impact Inc., Larry Acosta is President of Hispanic Ministry Center Inc. DBA Urban Youth Workers Institute, and Ken Anderson is a lay leader at the Church at Rocky Peak. Other Trustees serve on the boards of our supported organizations. Carl LaBarbera is Chairman of World Impact, and Robin LaBarbera is Secretary of Opportunity Schools.
