Organizations Filed Purposes:
It is our mission to transform Los Angeles into a county that reflects the human dignity of all communities, especially those in greatest need.
Affordable Housing and Homelessness:Together with our coalition partners, we organized around rent increase moratoriums and retroactive renter protections in Inglewood, Pasadena, Baldwin Park, Alhambra, and unincorporated LA County and supported the construction of hundreds of new supportive housing units.
Immigrant Justice: Our Safe Haven Network grew to 27 congregations, providing direct services and support to immigrant families in need while organizing for just laws. As LA Voice leader and Latino Muslim organizer Marta Galadary says, we are protecting people physically and morally.
Criminal Justice Transformation: We trained system-impacted leaders to participate and lead at Alternatives to Incarceration work groups, committees, and more. LA Voice leaders of all backgrounds supported efforts that won cancellation of the McCarty Jail Contract. We showed up as a faith voice in the PUSH coalition to end LAPD profiling in South LA, winning a decrease in racial profiling through traffic stops.
