Organizations Filed Purposes:
The LAX Coastal Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to positively impacting our local education community in Westchester, Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, Marina del Rey and beyond through educating the community about the strengths of our local schools, supporting our local teachers and students through much needed grants and increasing the quality of education in local schools by advocating for extracurricular programs.
Organize and facilitate a 5K/1K community running event providing an opportunity for our local schools to use this event as a platform to raise money for their schools. We coordinated the event and secured sponsorships to cover the costs of the event. Over 500 hours were spent by all volunteers to put on this event. 18 local schools participated impacting over 5,000 students in grades JK 12.
Facilitated the distribution of STEM grants from Southern California Gas Company. These grants were distributed to 18 schools and provided STEM education to over 5,000 students in grades JK 12.
