Our mission is to inspire, support and empower the people of the Watts community by identifying and addressing disparities in education, mental health, and economic opportunity. Macedonia CDC provides technical assistance primarily to Women and Minorities in Low-to-moderate income communities, financial literacy programs, educationally enriched programs for children, and form partnerships with public and private entities for the benefit of the Watts community at large.
MCDC TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS: MCDC PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CONSULTING AND TRAINING PROGRAMS PRIMARILY TO MINORITY AND/OR WOMEN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURS AND/OR TO SMALL BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURS WHO ARE LOCATED WITHIN, OR HAVE EMPLOYEES WHO RESIDE IN, LOW TO MODERATE INCOME AREAS IN WATTS AND THE GREATER LOS ANGELES GEOGRAPHIC AREA. THESE PROGRAMS ALSO TEACH MARKETING AND OUTREACH STRATEGIES, PRE-SCREENING, FOLLOW-UP SERVICES, AND TRACKING OF CLJENT OUTCOMES IN CREATING JOBS AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEIR CLJENTS.

CHRISTMAS IN WATTS - A CONCERT AND DONATION PROGRAM; THE CONCERT ATTRACTED OVER A LARGE AUDIENCES, WITH A CHOIR, ORCHESTRA, AND BAND. THERE WAS A TOY GIVE-AWAY BASED ON DONATIONS TO THE SALVATION ARMY.
