Optimist Boys Home and Ranch, Inc.'s mission is to provide culturally sensitive comprehensive treatment, specialized education and support services to abused, neglected or at-risk children, youth and their families to establish stability within families and communities.
Optimist Boys Home and Ranch, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit corporation that provides residential care, transitional housing, foster care, adoptions, special education and mental health programs for troubled and disadvantaged youth. Optimist Boys Home and Ranch, Inc. is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation.
RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT provides residential care and day treatment to 282 troubled and disadvantaged youths at two main campuses and four group homes. We are now the largest residential care provider for probation youth in California. During the year covered, this program provided care to 266 clients and 21,879 days of care.
The MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM provides day treatment and rehabilitation for men and women in the community and clients of the other programs. Clients received special education, intensive family counseling, sexual offender groups, art and movement therapy, substance abuse services, socialization skills, intensive psychotherapy, vocational assessments, and psychiatric support.During the year covered, 1,011 clients were served.
The FOSTER FAMILY AGENCY provides quality foster care for 99 abused, abandoned, and neglected children, ages birth to 17 years. During the year covered, this program made placements and provided 18,653 days of care.
