Several community related events were carried out in 2018 including the following: Annual Gala to honor community people and recognize the Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Oratorical Contest. Concert to celebrate the 50th of Death of Dr. MLK. High School Tutoring. MLK Concert during King week. SCLC Poor Peoples Campaign Food Giveaway. Workshop on the relationship of African Americans in Asian Pacific Islanders. Prayer Breakfast for King Week. Voter Engagement. Breakfast for the March on Washington 55 celebration. Tent City Preparation to help the homeless. Over 66,000 people attended and benefited from these activities.
