Organizations Filed Purposes: U.S. Green Building Council-Los Angeles Chapter USGBC-LA, is the local chapter of the United States Green Building Council, Inc., formed in 2002 by professionals representing various sectors of the construction industry, ranging from engineers and architects to designers and contractors. The mission of USGBC-LA is to promote sustainability in the built environment by providing access to knowledge, resources, recognition and networking.In 2019, USGBC-LA successfully launched a Net Zero Accelerator, delivered resiliency capacity building training to local communities, started a number of industry leading, topic based committees, and began a Quarterly Thought Leadership Series to build awareness and deliver solutions on local sustainability challenges.
