The Aerospace Museum of California celebrates the history of aviation and aerospace and inspires future generations to explore, dream, and discover STEM through hands-on learning. The Aerospace Museum of California is one of aviation's greatest showcases that captures the allure of flight. With a wide range of impressive military and civilian aircraft on display from gliders to Russian MIGs to a US Navy Blue Angels fighter and a Top Gun F-14 Tomcat. -- along with an extensive engine collection, the Museum also offers a state-of-the-art STEM learning laboratory or Flight Zone with 10 interactive digital flight stations. The Museum is committed to providing a world-class experience along with the opportunity to learn about and celebrate aviation's past, present, and future. In 2019, the Museum focused on developing and delivering engaging and hands-on STEM education to all our visitors. Our STEM mission is to offer students the opportunity to explore, discover, and be inspired by STEM. We hosted NASAs Hubble Space Telescope Exhibit. This exhibit helped the Museum to be one of the top 5 Museum destinations in Sacramento. We delivered 208 Hubble Exhibit guided tours with more than 13,082 visitors exploring this exhibit. 51,888 total visitors and 29,872 students participated in STEM tours and programs in 2019. The Museum increased our impact in the community by offering a 44% increase in the number of students who participated in our programs and activities across 2019. The Museum had 306 active volunteers donating 25,771 hours for the year 2019.
