The MJC Foundation increases community engagement and financial support to enhance the student experience, and strengthen the quality of education at Modesto Junior College.
The purpose of the MJC Foundation is to provide resources in support of the college's educational and student programs. The Foundation engages in a variety of events (such as the annual Summer Sonata Gala), direct mail correspondence with alumni and friends, and major gift fundraising, planned gift fundraising, and alumni relations. Approximately 30 program/professional development grants were awarded in 2018-2019 and the MJC Foundation awarded or distributed more than 700 scholarships and emergency grants to MJC students from Foundation and community partner sources.
