Organizations Filed Purposes:
Humanity for Horses has been rescuing horses and other animals from slaughter, abuse, neglect and abandonment since 2012. Through the highest quality of medical and emotional attention, we provide those in our care with life-long sanctuary and allow them to live out their lives in dignity. We also provide educational programs for children and the elderly by sharing the hope and grace these animals embody. Our mission is to rescue Mustangs, Thoroughbreds, as well as other breeds of horses and animals. Most of the animals in our care have experienced some level of severe abuse and neglect and many were in line to be slaughtered. We are a life-long sanctuary for all the animals in our care. Horses have attended to mankind for millennia. We believe it is time for humanity to return the service.
AT THE CLOSE OF 2019, 617 ANIMALS WERE IN OUR CARE - 423 HORSES AND 194 OTHER ANIMALS THAT INCLUDE DONKEYS, MULES, SHEEP, GOATS, LLAMAS, ALPACAS, DOGS, CATS, CHICKENS AND GEESE. CONTINUED CONSTRUCTION OF ALL THE NEEDED SHELTERS AND PASTURES FOR THE ABOVE HORSES AND ANIMALS TO MAINTAIN THEIR SAFETY, SECURITY, HEALTH AND ONGOING PEACEFUL LIVING NEEDS. WE HAVE EXPANDED THE USE OF EQUIPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE TO INCREASE EFFICIENCY IN THE CARE OF THE ANIMALS AND BETTERMENT OF THEIR CARE ACCORDINGLY.FUNDING COMES BY WAY OF THE GENEROSITY OF GRANTS, INDIVDUAL DONATIONS, AND CORPORATE DONATIONS. MULTIPLE INDIVIDUALS HAVE JOINED OUR DIRECT ANIMAL SPONSORSHIP WHEREBY THEY AGREE TO A MONTHLY PAYMENT TO SUPPORT AN INDIVIDUAL ANIMAL FOR THE COST OF FEED EACH MONTH.
