In Your Hands DBA Palo Alto Preparatory School is a unique, private, college prep high school designed to cultivate student success. Small class sizes, experiential education and emotional/physical safety, shape the school. As needed, the necessary resources to support the LD student community are incorporated into the curriculum in order to foster the growth of well-rounded individuals. With a 100% high school graduation rate, reports have shown that Palo Alto Preparatory has achieved a 93% college graduation rate once students graduate from Palo Alto Prep. Our current seniors, Class of 2020, are attending the following colleges: Mills College, Oregon State University, San Francisco State, CSU Humboldt, Wentworth College,This year the school developed a distance virtual interactive distance learning model two months prior to the forced closure of our campus due to Covid. The students did not miss one day of school.The school developed outdoor elective classes as well as special events socially distanced so even due to Covid restrictions, students were able to engage in activities together while following all health and safety guidelines. When most schools were providing little to no interaction with teachers, our students received the same synchronous face-time that they would have received if they were on campus from 9 4pm each day. We also planned and held a FB live graduation where graduates were able to receive their diplomas and be filmed distanced and then parents and families could join live and taped feed. We received incredible feedback on these events.In addition, we created and implemented our first social media advertising campaign on FB and Instagram to favorable results.
