Shareable is a nonprofit media outlet and action network that empowers people to share for a more resilient, equitable, and joyful world. We inspire social change by publishing stories, analysis, and tools in collaboration with our global partners.

Seventy five percent of surveyed readers said that Shareable helped them connect with an alternative economic method or service like a cooperative or tool library. Forty eight percent said that Shareable helped them make a positive change in their personal life. And 48 percent started a sharing project in their community. Shareable published two books, "Lessons from the First Wave: Resilience in the Age of COVID-19X and "Library of Things: A Cornerstone of the Real Sharing Economy." Shareable won a Society of Professional Journalists award in explanatory journalism for our story, "Cities at turning point: Will upzoning ease housing inequalities or build on zoning's racist legacy?"
