Organizations Filed Purposes:
Its charitable and cultural mission is to develop, train and promote Filipino Fil-American musicians and artists in areas such as teaching, writing and composing, performing original and mainstream compositions and musical instruments designed to enrich the Filipino inidividual and Filipino culture in communities nationally and worldwide.
FASO is the first Filipino American Symphony Orchestra in the entire U.S. Its purpose is to assist in developing, training and promoting Filipino musicians and artists.
FASO conducted year long educational workshops in music instruments, vocals and song writing in the underprivileged communities in Los Angeles and Carson. FASO also provided scholarships for compositions and other music related awards.
FASO held two concerts in 2019 A Summer Symphony with FASO on August and A Joyous Christmas with FASO on December. These symphonic celebration highlighted traditional Filipino musical arrangements as well as popular music, some written by Filipino artists, performed together with community children and adult choirs.
Participated in various community festivals and events promoting Filipino music and compositions.
