To provide reconstructive plastic surgical training and care to those in need, regardless of their ability to pay, and to advance the field of Plastic Surgery through education and research.

Reshaping Lives California provides direct surgical care to uninsured patients who fall below the poverty level. The program accepts patient applications on a rolling basis medically screening all qualified applicants including pre-operative laboratory testing reconstructive surgery performed by qualified top-of-field plastic surgeons in an accredited out-patient surgery center providing all surgical supplies medications prosthetics and post-operative follow-up care free of charge. in 2019 there were quarterly surgery days. In total 24 procedures were performed 50 patients received medical consultations and 1000 were made aware of the opportunity to receive care.

Kathmandu Nepal January 2-13, 2019. A team of acute burn and critical care experts including plastic surgeons anesthesiologists nurses critcal care nutritionist biomedical engineer respiratory therapist and an occupational therapist worked in Kirtipur Hospital. January is peak burn season and the team performed over 100 medical life-saving and surgical procedures on pediatric patients with fresh life threatening acute burns.

Saenz Pena Argentina August 30-September 9, 2019. A volunteer medical team traveled to Saenz Pena, Argentina where they worked virtually round-the-clock, performing life-changing reconstructive surgery for 96 patients. Most patients were from the indigenous Toba tribe, and traveled four hours from Villa Rio Bermejito, Chaco on the edge of the Impenetrable Chaco forest to receive surgery for severe congenital deformities
