Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy is a community dedicated to providing passionate skiers the opportunity to pursue athletic dreams, academic excellence and personal growth while celebrating grit, grace and courage. The organization oversees two programs: a ski team for alpine and nordic skiers racers of all ages and a college preparatory day and boarding school for students in grades 6-12.

SBSTA operates Sugar Bowl Academy, a fully accredited boarding and day school for students in grades 6 through 12. Currently there are 80 students enrolled in the school on a full time basis. The school offers rigorous college preparatory academics combined with a competitive alpine, nordic and freeride ski program for students who want to pursue both athletics and academics at a high level. Academy students regularly compete in ski race events at a regional and national level. Nearly 100% of Academy graduates attend a four year college or university and many continue competitive ski racing during their college years. SBSTA runs a ski team with a membership of over 420 athletes and a staff of over 50 coaches. The age range of ski team members is 4 years old to 21. The ski team offers programs in alpine, freeride, nordic, and backcountry skiing. The ski team operates from November through April and also offers on-snow and off-snow programs in the off season. The ski team supports and develops ski racers at all levels, including those who are interested in competing at a national level or in college. Many ski team athletes successfully compete at regional, national, and international competitions and go on to ski race at Division I colleges and universities. Set in a high alpine environment, the Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy is a community dedicated to providing passionate skiers the opportunity to pursue athletic dreams, academic excellence, and personal growth while celebrating grit, grace, and courage.
