PROVIDE COUNSELING, GANG PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES, CASE MANAGEMENT, ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES, JOB READINESS TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT AND OTHER SERVICES TO DISADVANTAGED YOUTH IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY AND GREATER LOS ANGELES AREA.
CIS has for the past 30 years served the most vulnerable residents of the San Fernando Valley. The 2018-2019 year was most notable as the agency succeeded in facilitating the following programs that include but are not limited to: City of LA Mayors Gang Reduction Youth Development servicing, Summer Night Light Program, LA County Reentry, LA County Youth Diversion, California Office of Emergency Services(Cal OES), LA Mission College Culture Reentry Hub, Hight Risk/High Needs (HR/HN),Tattoo Removal, MSW Graduate Interns Program, Assurance Learning Academy and Community Mobilization event. CIS, which has served the most vulnerable residents of the San Fernando Valley served 550 unduplicated individuals of which 45% were under the age of 18 and 55% over to age of 18. We provided service to approximately 3,500 families throughout our community mobilization events and Summer Night Lights Program.
