ARTISTRY PROGRAMAXIS DANCE COMPANY CREATES AND PERFORMS CONTEMPORARY DANCE THAT IS A COLLABORATION OF DANCERS WITH AND WITHOUT DISABILITIES. AXIS PERFORMS THIS WORKLOCALLY AT its HOME BASE IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA AND ON TOUR THROUGH THE UNITED STATES AND OUT OF THE COUNTRY. 2018 INCLUDED THE CLOSURE OF AXIS 30TH ANNIVERSARY WITH A SEASON OF PERFORMANCES IN SAN FRANCISCO AT Z SPACE THEATER AND A COLLABORATIVE PERFORMANCE AT THE BAYVIEW OPERA HOUSE. TOURING INCLUDED PERFORMANCES AND WORKSHOPS IN NEW YORK, MARYLAND, VIRGINIA, MAINE AND PARTICIPATION IN MIAMI'S FIRST PHYSICALLY INTEGRATED INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL "FORWARD MOTION."
