Organizations Filed Purposes:
Bay Area Jazz & Arts, Inc (BAJA), housed at The Sound Room, nurtures music, art and creative ventures through live performance and educational programs. BAJA focuses on programs that encourage understanding of America's original music tradition, Jazz. Jazz is difficult to define, but encompasses a vast array of music that blends traditions of African music with other styles using swing, improvisation, and interaction to produce a unique sound.
