Charlotte Maxwell Clinic's mission is to improve health outcomes and decrease health care disparities for low-income women with cancer by providing free access to compassionate, integrative care. Integrative care includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathy, bodywork, guided imagery, movement, and nutrition advice.

A new partnership with Samuel Merritt University was established to augment CMC's complementary therapies with individual and group Physical and Occupational Therapy, and research and planning was undertaken toward acquisition of a new HIPAA-compliant software system to facilitate secure, 1-on-1 telehealth consultations to current and future clients. Finally, several administrative changes were undertaken to correct the $120,000 loss from 2019 and improve the organization's finances and services. Expanded Board leadership, successful fundraising campaigns, grant assistance from the Small Business Administration, and attentive money management, together with an unexpected bequest, all contributed to 2020's positive net revenue.
