Organizations Filed Purposes: CELIs mission is to educate and connect emerging, clean energy leaders to drive the transition to an equitable, decarbonized and resilient clean energy economy.

CELI Fellowship Program: CELIs signature Fellowship Program attracts emerging leaders with diverse backgrounds and equips them with technical knowledge, leadership development training, and a passionate community dedicated to building an equitable, decarbonized, and resilient energy ecosystem. CELIs five-month fellowship program for working professionals is taught by influential thought leaders and expert practitioners in the field. Fellows are challenged to think critically about current energy policy and market structures, examine existing and historical inequities, identify existing barriers to clean energy deployment and innovation, and develop holistic solutions towards an equitable energy transition. The CELi 2020 Fellowship trained 105 emerging leaders across the spectrum of clean energy technology, regulatory structures, business, finance, policy, and entrepreneurship. CELI Alumnae Program, CELI Membership Program and Community Education: Beyond the five-month Fellowship program, CELI Fellows join an active, connected network of 600+ alumni. Upon completion of the Fellowship alumni continue to play an active role in the CELI community by hosting discussions, publishing thought pieces, attending ongoing leadership and professional development training, and participating in regular social and networking events. In addition, CELI facilitates connections between our alumni community and a robust professional network to enable career mentorship.CELI launched a new membership program in October, 2020. The goal of the program is to invite community members that are not Fellows into the community with the goal of connecting, empowering, and advancing Members impact and relationships in clean energy. emPOWER Annual Conference: emPOWER is CELIs annual conference that takes place in October that brings together CELI Fellows, CELI Alumnae, CELI Members, and any interested new emerging clean energy leaders to participate in a day of conversation and fireside chats to surface cutting edge insights into the pressing challenges facing an equitable energy transition. Sessions also focus on applied practices and efforts to combat the climate crisis.
