Community Education Partnerships' mission is to partner with community members to increase the learning opportunities and enhance the academic achievement of homeless and highly mobile youth.
Community Education Partnerships' mission is to support the education of homeless and highly mobile children. We provide one-on-one and group tutoring and mentoring, enrichment activities, targeted literacy support, and backpacks, books, and school supplies.
We have reached 180 students this year, with 100 students receiving 1-on-1 tutoring. Over 3,500 hours of one-on-one tutoring were provided free of charge, along with over 850 hours of group tutoring and programming. We expanded our digital literacy program to a second site in Oakland, with over 65 sessions held in 2019. Other program activities we have coordinated are family reading nights, summer reading clubs, back-to-school nights and group tutoring sessions at multiple locations. Over 200 backpacks and over 1,000 books were distributed to youth in 2019.
