Organizations Filed Purposes: To teach and disseminate educational material to the public.

The Institute for Public Accuracy (IPA) does entirely pro bono media outreach work for literally thousands of public interest advocates and organizations, setting up several thousand media placements each year into outlets ranging from CNN to "Democracy Now!" to NPR stations to AM talk radio to mainstream daily papers and news services. IPA does it with more than 250 news releases a year, each of which go to about 9,000 producers, editors and reporters. IPA routinely helps large numbers of nonprofit leaders and academics with scant resources to be heard in media. The Whistleblower and Source Protection Program (WHISPeR) at IPA's ExposeFacts project provides critical legal support for whistleblowers and media sources in the national security and human rights arena.
