OUR MISSION IS TO IMPROVE PUBLIC EDUCATION THROUGH FINDING, FUNDING, AND SUPPORTING CUTTING-EDGE BLENDED LEARNING SCHOOLS IN THE BAY AREA OF CALIFORNIA. THE SCHOOLS IN OUR PORTFOLIO SERVE AS LABS OF INNOVATION AND PROOF POINTS FOR THE BROADER FIELD ABOUT WHAT IS POSSIBLE IN NEXT GENERATION SCHOOLS.
WE PROVIDE SEED FUNDING FOR NEXT GENERATION SCHOOLS IN THE BAY AREA.
SILICON SCHOOLS FUND (SSF) CONDUCTED A DUE DILIGENCE AND GRANT-MAKING PROGRAM FOCUSED ON PROVIDING SEED FUNDING TO EXCELLENT SCHOOLS IMPLEMENTING NEXT GENERATION LEARNING MODELS AS WELL AS HUMAN CAPITAL ORGANIZATIONS SUPPORTING THIS WORK. IN 2019, SILICON SCHOOLS FUND MADE GRANTS TO 55 ORGANIZATIONS THAT WILL USE THE FUNDING TO SUPORT THE CREATION OF NEW SCHOOLS AND RELATED HUMAN CAPITAL EFFORTS.
