THE CORPORATION'S PURPOSE IS TO FINANCE ORGANIZATIONS WHO CREATE WORK FORCE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPTIONS FOR VERY LOW- TO MODERATE-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AND SPECIAL NEEDS POPULATIONS IN ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, TO BE A RESOURCE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND ENTITIES INVOLVED IN THE CREATION OF AFFORDABLE AND WORK FORCE HOUSING AND TO CARRY ON OTHER CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THESE PURPOSES.
Orange County Housing Trust Inc. is a fully qualified 501( c ) (3 ) nonprofit private capital-funded trust whose focus is toprovide gap financing for the acquisition, development or construction of supportive and affordable housing projects fordevelopers who share our vision of ending homelessness in Orange County. With renewed interest to solve thehomelessness crisis in Orange County, Orange County Business Council approached NeighborWorks Orange County towork together to retool OCHT and seek donations from the private sector interested in making difference. OrangeCounty Housing Trust, Inc.(OCHT) and the Orange County Business Council (OCBC) entered in to MOU for the purpose of establishing the OCBC Affordable Housing and Permanent Supportive Housing Loan Fund.Accomplishments:OCHT made loan with AFH Casa Paloma LP to provide to finance acquisition and predevelopment expenses related to the new construction of a 49 unit supportive housing project targeting individuals experiencing homelessness andchronic homelessness, half of which units will be set aside for those individuals with mental health conditions.
