Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of the Pacific Palisades Taskforce on Homelessness (PPTFH) is to provide leadership and resources to address the destructive consequences of homelessness in Pacific Palisades so that the community is protected, remains safe and our homeless people receive compassionate, effective services with access to permanent supportive housing. To accomplish its mission, the PPTFH works closely with local service and law enforcement agencies. The PPTFH also manages the local, annual point-in-time homeless count sponsored by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.

Outreach Program - PPTFH has partnered with The People Concern, a Santa Monica-based comprehensive homeless service organization. We fund a full-time, professional outreach team that works in our community, Pacific Palisades, to compassionately engage homeless individuals and connect them with the essential services they need. They provide a range of support services that include psychiatric and physical health care, food and clothing, assistance reestablishing personal identification documents, applications for financial assistance, assistance finding and moving into temporary and permanent housing or, when possible, reunification with family.

First Responder/Cleanup Support - PPTFH's volunteers partner with local police and other community service providers to maintain public safety. PPTFH funded a vehicle (mule), which allows the Los Angeles Police Dept. (LAPD) to monitor hazardous locations throughout Pacific Palisades to identify hillside homeless camps, enforce restricted-entry fire-risk zones; and help connect homeless individuals with the outreach team and services. Title of vehicle was transferred to LAPD. Funding was provided for cleanup supplies of encampments. During FY20 204 encampments of all sizes were cleaned up.

Client Support - PPTFH provides funding and support to relocate homeless individuals into a safe environment, including household supplies, travel and temporary motel expenses.
