Coachella Valley Health Needs AssessmentData collection for the 2019 survey continued during fiscal year 19-20 and was completed on December 9, 2019. HARC staff spent the following months cleaning and analyzing the data and creating the Executive Report. The data release event, sponsored by the City of Palm Desert, was changed to a webinar due the COVID-19 pandemic, and was successfully hosted on March 31, 2020 via Zoom. There were 187 unique participants in the live event, and an additional 137 individuals viewed the video of the event after it was posted to YouTube.Executive Report Electronic VersionDuring FY 19-20, the electronic version of the 2016 Coachella Valley Health Needs Assessment Executive Report was downloaded by 57 unique individuals. The electronic version of the 2019 Coachella Valley Health Needs Assessment Executive Report was made available on March 31, 2020 (the same day as the data release event). It was downloaded by 105 unique individuals by the end of FY 19-20 (June 30, 2020). These people represented a wide variety of organizations, such as ABC Recovery Center, Alianza Coachella Valley, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Angel View, Boys & Girls Clubs, California Commission on Aging, California Indian Nations College, California State Assembly, City of Desert Hot Springs, Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo, Coachella Valley Housing Coalition, College of the Desert, Community Health Association Inland Southern Region, CSU San Bernardino, Coachella Valley Volunteers in Medicine, Desert AIDS Project, Desert Business Association, Desert Cancer Foundation, Desert Care Network, Desert Health News, Desert Healthcare District, Desert Sands Unified School District, Eisenhower Health, FIND Food Bank, Future Physician Leaders, Los Medicos Voladores, Neuro Vitality Center, Riverside University Health System, SafeHouse of the Desert, The Joslyn Center, The LGBT Community Center of the Desert, Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indians, UC Berkeley, UC Riverside, and YMCA, among others. Most data users planned to use it for prioritizing health needs, creating presentations or lectures, and applying for grants or other funding. A total of 11 individuals stated that they had used the data in the past to support their requests for funding and were willing to share the amounts; together the 11 organizations have brought in over $1,483,000 using the data.Executive Report Printed VersionHARC mailed out 462 printed copies of the Executive Report to stakeholders, including Board Members, individual donors, funders, each of the nine cities, elected officials, attendees on the webinar, those who requested a copy of the report via a link on HARCs website and social media, other local leaders (e.g., tribal leadership, school districts, etc.), and all organizations that helped us get the word out about take the call. Approximately half of the printed reports (538) remain for us to distribute over the next two years.HARCsearchDuring FY 19-20, a total of 54 unique individuals used HARCs online searchable database, HARCsearch, to run queries and cross-tabulate the data themselves. These data users represent organizations such as Borrego Health, Boys & Girls Clubs, Coachella Valley Economic Partnership, Desert AIDS Project, Desert Marriage and Family Counseling, Desert Medical Imaging, Eisenhower Health, EVALCORP, First 5 Riverside, Friends of the Desert Mountains, LGBT Community Center of the Desert, Lift to Rise, Mizell Senior Center, Neuro Vitality Center, Riverside County Economic Development Agency, Riverside University Health System Medical Center, and UC Riverside, among others. HARC will be launching a new and improved version of HARCsearch, with the 2019 data, in FY 20-21.Client ServicesHARC worked on 25 different paid consulting projects during FY 19-20, including:Evaluations:1.
