Organizations Filed Purposes:
To promote the advancement of knowledge of all aspects of poultry science and the poultry industry, disseminate knowledge pertaining to all branches of the poultry industry and facilitate the exchange of such knowledge among people throughout the world having an interest in the industry, encourage the promotion of World Poultry Congresses and Regional Poultry Conferences, co-operate with other international organizations in achieving these aims.
THIS ORGANIZATION IS AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION THAT DISSEMINATES INFORMATION OF THE POULTRY INDUSTRY THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. THE ORGANIZATION HAS STARTED WORKING WITH DEVELOPING COUNTRIES IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. THE ORGANIZATION PROMOTES THE ADVANCEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE OF ALL ASPECTS OF POULTRY SCIENCE AND THE POULTRY INDUSTRY. THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETS ANNUALLY. THE 2019 MEETING WAS IN MONTREAL, CANADA AND THE 2020 MEETING WAS SCHEDULED TO BE IN PARIS, FRANCE. DUE TO THE WORLD WIDE PANDEMIC THE 2020 BOARD MEETINGS WILL NOW BE CONDUCTED ONLINE VIA ZOOM. A WORLD CONGRESS IS HELD EVERY FOUR YEARS WITH THE NEXT CONGRESS SCHEDULED FOR THE YEAR 2020 IN PARIS, FRANCE. DUE TO THE WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC THE CONGRESS HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL 2021.
