Organizations Filed Purposes: To promote the understanding of and responsibility for the environment through hands-on science education.

To inspire people of all ages to learn about the wonders of the natural world. We train volunteers to lead hands-on science and nature programs in schools, community organizations, and at the Eco-Center in the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve.

Education - During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020, EV provided 176 Classroom Presentations and 44 field trips to students in public and private schools in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Over 5,000 students are taught in EV's programs each year. EV had approximately 137 active school programs docents/volunteers as of June 30, 2020. The EV also offered 36 community programs with over 1,000 participants as of June 30,2020.Baylands EcoCenter - EV's headquarters serves as a nature center open to the public and welcomes over 1,600 visitors annually.
